The Reasons Why Diet Pills & Fat Burning foods Don't Work

What are Diet Pills, Weight loss pills, Fat burners?

They are supplements that contain ingredients that:

Decrease your appetite, increase your energy/thermogenesis (the oxidation/burning of food to make energy) or bind to foods after we eat them, so they are not absorbed but instead they are... em... expelled đŸ’©

Examples of ingredients that are used are:

  • Capcaicinoids

  • Glucomannan

  • Caffeine

  • Green Tea Extract

  • Cayenne

  • L-tyrosine

  • Raspberry Ketones

  • Fat blockers like XLS Medical

  • Carb blockers such as garcinia cambogia

The advertisements for these sell you the magic solution,

Take this supplement and all of your weight loss wishes will come true ✹

They usually have studies to back up the effectiveness of the product, so they can use catchy "PROVEN BY SCIENCE" type selling points

To top it all off, they have your favourite reality TV star who you trust as a #brandambassador #ad #AF

What could be the catch?

Well first off...

Watch this YouTube video showing a snippet of (Irish hero) Blindboy's BBC Documentary

"Blindboy Destroys The World"

and what really goes on behind the scenes of a business deal to promote diet supplements.

"I never tried Skinny Coffee"...

Ouch, she was only promoting it months prior to this...

Lauren, then quoted on the video "And then, they are actually going and buying it..." as she laughs about people buying the supplements she is endorsing, even though she never uses them..


So, apart from the false advertising from celebrity endorsements

The problem is, that the products work by:

  1. Reducing your appetite...

  2. So you eat less... (YAY, weight loss)

  3. Your metabolism adapts to this low intake of food... (OH NO!!)

  4. So you start to feel like crap from eating so little, and you need to eat like a normal person... (...HELP!)

  5. you pile the pounds back on + some extra pounds, as your metabolism has adapted to this low intake of food

  6. You end up in a worse state mentally then you were before, and you have gained back the weight you were desperate to lose (đŸ˜„)

If the advertisement said...

"Drop 7 pounds in 7 days, & gain 14 pounds back in 21 days"

Would you buy it then?

Not to mention the

Side effects of weight loss supplements are:

  • Excessive sweating

  • Diarrhea

  • Increased blood pressure

  • Increase heart rate

  • Insomnia

  • Dizziness, lightheadedness, Jittery, restlessness

  • Nutrient deficiencies

  • Rectal bleeding

  • Addiction/Eating disorders

  • Mood swings, depression, anxiety, hyper-awareness

  • Irritability

  • Fatigue

If you have used these before, or are still tempted to, as all you can think about is losing weight

I want you to know that I hear you,

I have used diet-pills before, yes I lost some weight within a week but after 3 months I had gained back THREE times what I had lost and was more self-conscious then ever

Which is when I found out the real key to long term weight loss and health..

I have been through this mindset, and I understand where you are coming from, but these products are not OK to be using...

They work just like putting a plaster over a gun shot wound...

You can cover it up, but the problem is still there and you are going to have to address it at some point...
